2003年11月以降、インド・パキスタン両軍の間で停戦合意が継続しており、軍事衝突の可能性は低くなっています。しかし、通常の配備体制が解かれたわけではなく、また、パキスタン側からの越境侵入者との銃撃戦も引き続き発生しています。2008年10月11日、管理ライン地域のプーンチにおいて、パキスタン側からの越境侵入テロリスト5人とインド国境警備隊の間で銃撃戦が発生し、国境警備隊は、テロリスト1人を射殺、同4人を撃退しています。つきましては、同地域に滞在中の方については、安全な場所へ退避するとともに、同地域への渡航に関しては、目的の如何を問わず、情勢が安定するまでの間、延期してください。（出典：2008/12/26発表、インドの危険情報、「カシミール地方」より）

In November 2003,a cease-fire agreement was concluded between India and Pakistan.Also,it continues,so it is little likely for them to start to fight.But they still post their force there.Some people from Pakistan still attempt to get into India and they and the force of India shoot at each other.
In 11th October 2008, five terrorists from Pakistan and the guard of India shot at each other in Punch,which is nearby the Line of Control.The latter killed one of the former and the rest of the former escaped.
In such situation,if you stay at there,you have to escape to where it is safe.And if you want to go to there,you have to put off visiting whatever purposes you have,until the situation got better.
